The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) program is a journeying process for those who wish to consider converting to Catholicism, those never baptized, or those who are baptized in another Christian faith.

The Inquiry is the first part of the process and usually begins late September or early October. Meetings are usually on Wednesday or Thursday evening from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm. After the Rite of Acceptance in December, OCIA also meets on Sunday to break down the Word. 

For adults who just need to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation - meaning they have been baptized and received their First Holy Communion in the Catholic Church - can contact the Rectory office at 516-931-0818 for information on instruction and preparation. These candidates would be receiving Confirmation on Pentecost Sunday.
